Q&A with Studio Assistant: Alyssa Llorando

Welcome to the Asset Factory family Alyssa Llorando! We asked Alyssa a few questions to get to know her a bit more, and find out what her day to day looks like at our Kingsland studio.

What is your career background/where have you come from?

I’m a recent graduate from Elam School of Fine Arts, with a directed interest in Painting and Photography. I’m originally from the Philippines, but have grown up in Tāmaki Makaurau for the past 22 years.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I spend my spare time catering to my art practice, whether that be creating new paintings, photoshoots or sculptures. I’m connected to a wide circle of innovative and hard working creatives, who I’m also blessed to call friends.

So, when I’m not tending to my creative pursuits, I’m lending a hand to those around me.

What excites you about joining the team?

I’ve worked with the team for over a year now, helping assist Live Machine shoots, and the studio experience is like no other. The experience that the team brings is eye-opening and necessary for someone like me who has only just stepped into the industry.

What is your role at Asset Factory, and what does your day to day look like?

My title is Studio Assistant, and with that comes an array of tasks – each day is different to the last. I’m involved in assisting photoshoots from start to finish, whether that be on model or product photography all the way through to post production.

My favourite aspect of my role are the incredible connections I’m able to make with clients and creatives alike.

People should contact you if they want…….
